

The stars of Rajkumar Santoshi's Halla Bol are all set to perform street plays across India. Theatre actor Om Katare has written and directed these plays.
Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan and Pankaj Kapur will be seen participating in street plays across the country to promote their film Halla Bol. The aim of the plays is to put across a positive message regarding several issues plaguing the common man in cities across the country. Om Katare has been roped in to write and direct these skits and plays. Katare has had several meetings with Rajkumar Santoshi and producer Abdul Sami Siddiqui and it's only then that he wrote a basic script of the play. Santoshi and Siddqui loved it and thought that there was no better way to promote the film. Devgan, Balan and Kapur will soon be flying to various cities to perform the street plays. The cities which have been targeted by the makers include Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Kolkata, Jaipur, Patna and Mumbai. Devgan will promote the film in Delhi, Chandigarh and Lucknow while Vidya and Kapur have yet to decide on the cities where they will promote the film. Katare will look into the specific issues concerning the particular city and weave a story around it.
